RAD also supply lugs, bolts & nuts to many leading vehicle manufacturers (including Mercedes), and this means that they have some of the best design, testing and manufacturing facilities in the world. All of RAD’s locking bolts are manufactured to the highest possible standards and put through the most rigorous testing to ensure their products resist even the most determined attack.  

Not only are our locking bolts designed to stop criminals but they’re also designed to resist corrosion. RAD bolts are made using a specialist process that makes them 12 times more resistant to corrosion than conventional bolts, especially to road salt.  Our RAD wheel bolts are also resistant to the acidic effects of many popular alloy wheel cleaners designed to remove brake dust and tar from your wheels. 

Snap Resistant Locking Wheel Nuts

Many locking wheel nuts are prone to snapping if they are incorrectly applied using impact wrenches or air guns at your local tyre centre. This is a common problem for many customers, who can find locking wheel bolts almost impossible to remove without snapping if they are tightened using an impact wrench. All of our RAD wheel bolts are manufactured using the highest quality German steel and have been tested and are rated to resist up to 400Nm of torque without breaking, adding to your peace of mind if someone does make a mistake.

RAD bolts: German manufactured and individually PACE tested
Compliant to DIN EN ISO 898-1. Tempered to strength class 10.9
Dacromet 500A coating provides over 12 times the corrosion resistance than conventional zinc plated bolts (240 hours vs 20 hours salt spray test resistance).
Various bolts are now being produced by RAD with Geomet321+VL coating in compliance to new EOLV regulations (end of life vehicle). Geomet321+VL provides 600 hours salt spray test resistance and the +VL layer is resistant to phosphoric acid based wheel cleaners. Wheel gun resistant to 400Nm.
